How to Create an Alarm in Windows 10 Without Additional Software
Not only cellphones, PCs or laptops can also be used as alarms whether it’s to wake up sleep, set a schedule, or a reminder.
For Windows 10 users, there is already a built-in alarm feature so you don’t need to install additional software.
Here’s how to create an alarm on Windows 10.
1. Open menu Startrun Alarms & Clock.
2. Click Add New Alarm.
3. Please set the time, then click Save. You can also change the name, loop, sound, and delay.
4. Don’t forget to make sure that the alarm is active.
5. When the alarm sounds, you can choose Snooze (snooze) or Dismiss (turn off).
Also make sure the volume is loud enough to wake you up. The alarm will still be active even if the computer is locked.
Will the alarm still sound even if the computer is off?
Unfortunately it can’t. If the computer is off or sleep, the alarm program will not run. For regular computers, make sure the Sleep setting is Never.
You can check via Start > Settings > System > Power & sleep.
However, some laptop and tablet devices that support the InstantGo feature may be able to use the alarm even when they are in a sleep. Please check how to find out does the computer support InstantGo here.
