How to Hide Desktop Icons in Windows
The average computer desktop is generally filled with program icons and shortcuts to facilitate certain accesses.
However this keeps the desktop view messy and unorganized.
Apart from deleting it, you can also temporarily hide the icon and bring it up again when needed. Here’s how to hide desktop icons on Windows devices.
- Right click on the desktop, select View > Show desktop icons.
- Now the desktop icon is hidden.
- To bring it back, right click on the desktop, select View > Show desktop icons.
In addition to making your desktop look cleaner, removing excess shortcut icons can also make your computer startup a bit faster because there’s not much information to load.
