How to Remove Comment Column on Instagram Story

When creating a story on Instagram, sometimes you don’t want other people to comment for a number of reasons, including anticipating negative comments or really wanting to make a story just for other people to see.

If you are one of those, then you don’t need to worry because Instagram already allows this. If you don’t know how to get rid of the Instagram story comment column, please see the following tutorial until it’s finished.

1. Open the app Instagram on your cellphone, then tap profile.

2. Tap three lines which is located in the upper right corner.

3. Select settings and privacy.

4. Select messages and replies to stories.

5. Select story reply.

6. Select do not allow story replies.

7. If you have chosen, please tap the back icon.

8. Create an Instagram story and it will look like the image below where the comments column is no longer available.

9. As for the previous view like the image below where the comments column is still available.

If you want to return to the default setting where everyone can comment on the story you created, please select allow replies to stories from everyone on the story replies menu.
